Jeraldine (Jeri) Mullinix

August 5, 1932 — November 8, 2024

HUDSON - Jeraldine (Jeri) Mullinix, 92, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, at Danbury Assisted Living in Hudson, Ohio.

Jeri was born August 5, 1932, in Mt. Savage, Maryland to the late Paul and Anna Bell Martin. She was the fifth of ten children and the last to enter her eternal home.

After graduating from Beall High School in 1951, she worked for a telephone company in Cumberland, Maryland. Eventually, she made her way to Baltimore in the mid-50s where she met the love of her life, Ernie Mullinix, at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. They were married on June 28, 1958, and enjoyed 65 years of being “sweethearts” until Ernie’s passing in 2023.

They built a home in Catonsville, Maryland where they raised their three children. Jeri was very involved in the community, the schools, and Catonsville United Methodist Church. She worked in food services for several years at Rolling Road Golf Club, Environmental Elements, and University of Maryland. Baltimore County (UMBC).

In 1998, she and Ernie moved to Charlestown Retirement Community where they enjoyed 24 years of independent senior living. Jeri loved her life in Charlestown and jumped into that community with both feet, serving on many committees and the residents’ council. As it became apparent that assisted living would better meet the needs of their declining health, the decision was made to move to Ohio to be close to their youngest
daughter.

Jeri was a people person who never met a stranger. She loved to host gatherings for family and friends and was the queen of Jello salads! She had a great sense of humor, a servant's heart, and gave great hugs!

Jeri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She embraced her role as “Grandma Jeri” and left a legacy of love, laughter, and faith to her seven grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Glenn (Sherri); daughters, Joyce Mullinix and Pam Fair (Wes); grandchildren, Gabrielle, Chase, Parker, and Madison Mullinix, and David, Christopher, and Lauren Fair, as well as and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in Catonsville on March 1, 2025.
