Jerome Stanford Wolf

HUDSON - Jerome Stanford Wolf, at the age of 88, went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Beverly, on Monday, June 26, 2023. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on May 18,1935, to Dick and Mildred (née Wilkinson) Wolf.

Jerome was the devoted husband for 65 years of Beverly (nee Stanford) Wolf, who preceded him in death by 17 days. He was the beloved father of Kathleen (Allan) Jones, James (Mary-Ann) Wolf, and Loreen (Bill) Young; loving grandfather of fourteen, and great-grandfather of nine. He also leaves behind his brother, Jay (Phyllis) Wolf.

He graduated from East High School, earned a BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and an MBA from The University of Akron.

Jerome was a lifelong member of High Street Christian Church, where he served as an elder, trustee, and chairman of the building committee following the 1975 fire that destroyed the historic building. He also served the Cleveland Christian Home.

Jerome worked at B & W for 17 years before joining his father-in-law at Ace Machine, which became Ace Precision, Industries, with his collaboration.

Jerome was first and foremost a family man. He loved and provided well for his children. As his children graduated from high school, he encouraged them to pursue additional studies, and made that a reality for each of them. He spent much time with his grandchildren. He was often seen riding his bike around Silver Lake with up to fourteen grandchildren behind him. He would take them on walks to the park where he made up many games to entertain them. He spent endless hours watching them swim in the family pool. The grandchildren loved having grandpa throw tennis balls or peaches from his tree for them to catch while they jumped off of the diving board into the pool.

Jerome was an avid tennis player. He was a member of the Pelican Bay Tennis Team in Naples, Florida. Jerome also played tennis for many years with his friends on the tennis court at his Silver Lake home.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 11 AM, at Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park, 3653 West Market Street, Akron, OH 44333. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon following the service at the Young Residence, 730 Terex Road, Hudson, Ohio 44236.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, family and friends make donations in his name to Haven of Rest Ministries , 175 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44308.
