HUDSON - Jerrold K. Schneider, 89, died July 2, 2022. Born “down home” in East Liberty, OH, Jerry was a Kent State University graduate and U.S. Army veteran, meeting his future wife, Carmella Maita, in Stuttgart, Germany; later working on the Thor Missile Program, helping to install the first ballistic missiles in England. In his early work career, Jerrold was employed with GM, working with Raytheon and MIT on the Apollo project guidance system. In 1967, Mr. Schneider helped establish the family business, Falls Mold and Die, where he worked until closing the company in 2003. Mr. Schneider was also a member of Stow FOPA Lodge #66. Preceded in death by his dear wife, Carmella; his parents, Lawrence M. and Mildred Frances Schneider; brothers, Bill and Terry, and nephews, Brent (Sue) and Trent. He is survived by nephews and niece; Terrill (Linda) Schneider, Todd (Jill) Schneider, Beverly Van Domelen, and Bruce (Fran) Adams, along with many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday 1 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 12 noon until service time. Interment Crown Hill Burial Park with military honors provided by the U.S. Army. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
