Jerry L. Hawkins

STOW - Jerry L. Hawkins, 88, died September 28, 2024.

Born in Alliance, he was a resident of Munroe-Falls from 1962 to 2007, shortly after retirement, he resided in Cuyahoga Falls. Jerry was a U.S. Marine veteran. He had been employed with Kent State University as an administrator, retiring in 1997. Jerry was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a sports enthusiast, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching basketball, football, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He especially looked forward to his annual fishing trips in Canada and vacationing in Naples, FL.

Preceded in death by wife, Nancy; son, Douglas Hawkins, and brother, Barry Hawkins, he is survived by his son, Kyle (Linda) Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Sue Hawkins; grandchildren, Anthony, Alycia, and Tyler Hawkins, Cyla Geopfert, Carly Cullumber, and Hailey Lara, as well as twelve great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 11 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.
