Joan F. Skully

KENT - Joan F. Skully, 78, died December 25, 2024.

Born in Akron, she was a lifetime area resident and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. Joan was a dedicated wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a treasured sister, and a dear friend to many. Joan took great pride in her time spent as the Children’s Department Manager for Sears, as well as National Manager of Merchandising for Bonne Bell Cosmetics.

Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Pearl (Friedman) Finan, and two brothers, Jerry and Jim Finan, she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gerald; children, Chris (Teresa) Skully, Stephanie (Erik) Davis, and Jerry Skully; grandchildren, Rachel, Nicholas (Nicole) and Zachary Skully, Cynthia, Charlie and Toby Davis; great-grandson, Francis Skully, sister, Jean Rupar (Ed Lipp), special nieces and nephews, as well as their spouses and children.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224 for visitation on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 1 to 4 PM.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls 44223. Private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in February.
