John Walter Petroski

STOW - John Walter Petroski, 84, passed away September 2, 2024. Born in Akron, he was a resident of Stow since 1978, and a U.S. Army veteran. John retired from St. Vincent’s Charity Hospital as a perfusionist after 26 years. He enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks, body building, and driving his red Ford Mustang. John is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary, and his son, Steven Petroski. He is survived by his daughter, Cecilia (Dave Reeves) Petroski; son, John (Summer Thompson) Petroski; several grandchildren, and his brothers, Frank and Greg (Pat) Petroski. Friends may call from 4 - 7 PM Friday, September 6, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224, where Chaplain Tony Huggins will conduct service at 7 PM. John will be interred at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 12:45 PM. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
