STOW - John R. Spencer, 64, died April 15, 2010.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a long time area resident. John retired from Allstate Insurance Co. in 2001 after 31 years of service in the commercial claims department. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and cards, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents George and Mildred, he is survived by wife of 41 years, Sharon; daughter Christy of Green; son Mark of Stow; sister Mary Anne Lawson of Birmingham, MI; brothers Rex (Donna) of Fairport, NY and George,III (Lynn) of Redmond, OR and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday 6 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Hayward will conduct a memorial service Saturday 11 AM at Stow United Methodist Church.
