Joseph Anthony Grecco

HUDSON - Joseph Anthony Grecco, 75, passed away in the early morning of July 2, 2023.

Born in Ravenna, Ohio, he has been a resident of Hudson since 1989. Spending most of his childhood in California, he left as a teenager to eventually embark on a wonderful life in Northeast Ohio where he met his wife, Lavinia. He had been the owner and broker of Grecco Realty, located in Stow, for 45 years until his passing. He deeply valued his countless clients, and many became lifelong friends. For many years, he was heavily involved in the Stow Jaycees, Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, and the grievance board for the Akron Area Board of Realtors.

As a member of the Ravenna Boat Club for over 50 years, Joe was an avid boater who also loved his jet skis. Many memories were made with friends and family on boating adventures, skiing, tubing, and jet skiing. Joe and his wife had an adventurous spirit, traveling the world - including everywhere from the Mayan Ruins to the shores of Australia and to the jungles of South America. However, Joe’s greatest joy in his life was traveling with his grandchildren, including a recent trip to visit many national parks across the U.S. with his grandson, Alexander. Their wild adventures from these trips have served as famous bedtime stories for their grandchildren and will continue to serve as entertaining dinner stories for years to come. Joe was known for his famous Grecco Realty pens, which he loved to pass on to anyone he could reflecting his honor for the Grecco name, his business, and his joy of giving to others. Above all, Joe honored God by cherishing his beloved wife, loving family, and remarkable friends.

Preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Jean, and his father, Joseph Grecco. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lavinia Grecco; his daughter, Bridgett Grecco; his son, Jason Grecco (Kristina); his two grandsons, Gregory Grecco (Katherine) and Alexander Grecco; his brother, John Grecco (Pauline); and his many nieces and nephews.

Dr. Arnold R. Fleagle will conduct service, Monday, July 10, 2023, at 7 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call Monday, from 4 - 7 PM.  Private burial Silver Springs Cemetery.
