MUNROE FALLS - Joseph (Joe) C. Cacioppo, 62, died January 21, 2025, after an eight-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Akron, he was a resident of Munroe Falls his entire life and a graduate of Tallmadge High School. Joe worked for Munroe Falls Fire Rescue for more than 36 years as a Firefighter/EMT, retiring from the department in 2017. Joe also volunteered at Paws and Prayers for several years. Joe was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church of Tallmadge. Joe, our music enthusiast, loved listening to music, playing his guitars and riding his motorcycle. Joe had a big heart and would do anything for anyone, including his furry dog friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Rhea Cacioppo, he is survived by the love of his life of 22 years, Maureen Cacioppo; siblings, Mimi (Bob) Porter, Brimfield, Dave (Tina) Cacioppo, Brimfield, Mark (Angie) Cacioppo, Munroe Falls, and Melissa (Jim) Marino, Madison, as well as uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Joe was loved by many. His family is incredibly grateful to his neighbors, friends, and the staff at Heritage of Hudson for their kindness and generosity.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
