Joseph Vaglia

AKRON - Joseph Vaglia, 87, died September 8, 2023. Born in Claridge, PA, he was a resident of Akron since 2015, and a U.S. Army veteran. Joseph had been employed with East Ohio Gas Company as a collector and went on to work at Side Door Florist for 14 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed taking trips to MGM Northfield Park and watching westerns. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Vaglia, and daughter, Helen Linger, he is survived by daughter, Sandra Vaglia; grandchildren, Jason (Tina), and Autumn Ashton; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Joseph, and David Ashton, Alyssa, Brian, and Brittany Carr; sister, Frances Davis; brothers, Nick, Paul, and Phillip Vaglia, and son-in-law, Kevin Staats.
