MUNROE FALLS - Joshua Brighton, 52, entered peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior December 30, 2023.
Born in Akron, he recently resided in Munroe Falls. Josh received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. Following his graduation, Josh served as an instructor at the university and went on to work as a civil engineer for several companies, most recently, Rimkus, as a principal consultant.
Josh was an avid fan of Penn State, the Cleveland Browns, and enjoyed target shooting. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his pets.
Preceded in death by father, Jerry Brighton, he is survived by his mother, Ila Brighton; sisters, Jeri (Randy) Davis, Jean (Matt) Micale, and Jackie Brighton; brothers, John (Tina), and Jacob Brighton; stepmother, Caren Brighton; nephew, Chris (Samantha) Davis; nieces, Dawn (Joe) Frantz, Jessica (Robert) Williams, Jina (Aaron) Eichler, Natalie Micale, Nicole Micale, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pastor Jim Colledge will conduct service 1:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2024, at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson, OH 44236. Friends may call 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery.
