June Dawes

June (Meissner) Dawes passed away after a short illness on her 90th birthday, August 6, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Dawes, and her son, Pete A Dawes.
Her survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (Dave) Reinhart, Stow; daughter-in-law, Marge Dawes, Seville; grandchildren, Rodd (Amy) Reinhart, Renee Reinhart, Wendy Deeb; and four great-grandchildren, Arianna, David, Robyn, and Louis.
June retired from Kent State University where she was employed as a cashier. She was a member of Stow Community UCC, and was a very active participant and volunteer in many activities at Stow-Glen Retirement Village. She loved her apartment and patio flowers at Stow-Glen, often being asked to show her apartment to prospective residents. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her, as Grandma June was to them.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday 12:30 p.m. at Birch Community Room, Stow-Glen Retirement Village, 4285 Kent Rd., Stow, OH 44224, with Pastor Kim Barnett officiating.
Private graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ravenna. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stow-Glen Retirement Village.
