POWELL - Katherine Elizabeth “Kathy” Clark, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 27, 2024.
Born October 16, 1940, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Harold and Katherine (Ellis) Loudin, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dennis “Denny”; sisters, Ginny (Dick) Sandy, Marny Wingard, Barcy (Artie) Koerner, and brother, David Loudin.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children, Susan (Jeff) Beadle of Jewett, OH, Doug (Vicki) Clark of Tyler, TX, and Linda (Greg) Smith of Powell, OH; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (George) Holloman, Jenna (Matt) Reese, Alyssa (Rob) Cooper, and Gabriel Beadle, Micah (Mary) Clark, Chelsea Clark, and Kyle, Austin, and Erica Smith; nine great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lonna Dean (David)Loudin of Akron, OH, and Janet (Tom) Hamilton of Copley, OH; and brothers-in-law, Bruce (Kathy) Clark of Cadiz, OH, and Zale (Carol) Glauberman of Springfield, IL, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She moved to Stow when she was nine years old and graduated from Kent State University High School in 1958. She lived most of her life in the greater Akron area and was an active part of The Chapel’s ministry, the Friday Morning Ladies’ Bible Study, and various Bible study groups over the years, the Pro Tennis Ministry of the International Sports Coalition, Bath Volunteers for Service, and The Women’s Auxiliary of the Akron Children’s Hospital.
Kathy and Denny enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and many parts of the world. They also enjoyed pro, college, and high school sports, and they traveled many miles to see grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews in various sporting events, plays, musical performances, and art shows. Relatives and friends, and their friends and relatives, were always welcome in their home. Kathy was always ready and willing to help others in times of need.
Service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 AM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Private burial will be held at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Bath Township.
