Christ Community Chapel ~ Funeral Service of Kenneth Joseph Froelich
AKRON - Kenneth Joseph Froelich, 57, was healed from his seven-month struggle with ALS when he met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 1, 2023.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Ken graduated from North Hills High School and Robert Morris University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He was a CPA and later continued his education, receiving his MBA from Cleveland State University. Ken was a member of Christ Community Chapel in Hudson, where he served in the Finance Ministry. He enjoyed photography, gardening, bicycling, woodworking, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
When Ken was six years old, he attended Vacation Bible School at a neighbor’s house and heard that God loved him so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for Ken’s sins and restore his relationship with God. Ken wanted that peace and forgiveness and put his faith and trust in Jesus as his savior. Since then, God never left Ken’s side, through times of joy and celebration as well as hardship and grief. Ken faced every circumstance with confidence knowing what was important in life and where he would spend eternity. In difficult times, he consciously chose to run toward God rather than away. He faithfully displayed a Christ-like attitude wanting others to know the peace and confidence found only through trust in Jesus. Out of gratitude to God, Ken strived to help others in whatever way he could, without fanfare or acknowledgment. Aside from his faith, family was most important to Ken, and he was a wonderful husband and father. There was no where he would rather be than at one of his children’s performances or games. They brought so much joy to his life, and he was thankful to be able to see them both graduate from high school and start their college careers.
Preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Helen E. Froelich, and brother, Jeff, Ken is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Katie and Andrew Froelich; sisters, Debbie (Colin) Christensen and Beth (Eddie) Anderson; their children, Nick and Chloe Christensen and McKenna Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Billie Bagwell; brother-in-law, Mark (Michelle) Bagwell, and children, Spencer, Seth, Sydnie, and Shayne Bagwell; best friend, Mike Martin, along with many wonderful uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson 44236, where friends may call from 9:30 AM until service time.
