STOW - Laura Ann (Uhle) Roscoe, 67, died March 24, 2023, after a short illness.
Born in Bay Village, Ohio, on August 8, 1955, she was a resident of Stow since 1993. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1972, and The University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Family and Human Development in 1979.
Throughout her life, she volunteered at many churches. During the early 1980s, she particularly enjoyed volunteering at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Birmingham, AL where she helped the Salesian priests minister to the poorest of the poor. Upon returning to Ohio, she became a member of The Kent State Newman Center Catholic Community where she served in various roles including secretary, chairperson of the Art and Environment Committee, interim Director of Religious Education, housekeeper, and choir member. Most recently, she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow. Laura was an accomplished artist who enjoyed cooking and baking. Her whole life was centered around her love for Jesus Christ, her family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roberta and Thomas Uhle, Sr.; brothers, Thomas, Jr. and Robert, and a sister, Catherine Quinn.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William R. Roscoe, whom she married on September 4, 1976; sons, John (Caroline) of Falls Church, Virginia and Daniel (Jennifer) of Chicago, IL. Her grandchildren include, Stella Ann, Lincoln William, and Leo Robert Roscoe, all of Falls Church, Virginia. Also surviving include a sister, Virginia Wood of Cornish, New Hampshire; a stepmother, Grace D. Uhle, of Beachwood, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call at 10:00 AM in the Church. Rosary will begin at 10:45 AM. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the lower church hall.
