Lela Lengacher of Stow, died November 23, 2021.
Born in Walnut Creek, OH on March 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Reidenbach) Iberg. Lela was a graduate of Baltic High School and attended Kent State University. She had been a member of the United Church of Christ in Kent for over 60 years and also attended the United Methodist Church in Kent for a number of years. Lela was the secretary for the Paton Agency in Kent for over 20 years.
Lela is survived by three daughters; Candy (Steve) Peck, Chrissy Lengacher (Steve Shedd), and Susan (Rick) Carlyon; one son, Tom (Kathy) Lengacher. Also surviving are her three granddaughters; Katie (Kirra) Peck, Sarah Peck, and Amanda (Keith) Carlyon Muckensturm; one great-grandson, Georgie Simms; and brother-in-law, Robert Ott. Lela was preceded in death by her husband, William Lengacher; sister, Alice Ott; brother, Jordan Iberg, and dearly loved grandson, Adam Carlyon.
In keeping with Lela’s wishes, her body was donated to NEOMED and a memorial service will be held at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224 at 11 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2022, followed by a picnic at Silver Springs Park, 5027 Stow Road, Stow 44224.
