NEW FRANKLIN - Leonard “PAUL” Brannon, (92 years old), died on August 9, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was a Korean War Veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kate (Lucy) Brannon, and they were married for 60 years. He is survived by his four daughters, Connie Brannon, Sharon Hardy-Smith (Paul), Betty Bramlett (Larry), and Tina McNatt (Russ); his grandchildren, Josh McNatt, Jenny Maxwell, Tabitha Moneskey, Amanda Smith, Jeremiah McNatt, Paul Smith, Craig Bramlett, Malissa Bramlett, Heather Bramlett, and his great grandchildren, Brannon, Donnell, Tyler, Ariana, Michael, Katelyn, and Nicholas. He was born in Spencer, West Virginia, and lived there until he moved to Akron, Ohio, after he was discharged from the Army. He retired from the Babcock & Wilcox Company in Barberton, Ohio after 38 years of service, where he was a tool and die maker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family trips, and joking with his grandchildren. He looked forward to going to the mall and having coffee with his walking buddies. He was a stranger to no one, striking up conversations with everyone he met. Most everywhere he went, he ran into someone he knew. He loved animals, especially dogs, and his children’s dogs. They always enjoyed going to Grandpa’s house because he had open arms and lots of treats.
