Obituary of Leonard J. Cummins
Leonard J. Cummins, 79, died February 27, 2012. Born in Stow, he served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict, was a member of Teamsters Local 24 and had been a volunteer at Akron Children's Hospital for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty, daughters Cathy Loughery, Cheryl (Jim) Massie, Caren Cummins, sons Larry (Dale) and Lenny (Karla) Cummins, grandchildren, James, Eddy, Brandy, Cara, Cory, Tyler and Cole and great-grandchildren, James, Noah and Topanga and special loving dog Molly.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM, where Rev. David Kraft will conduct service Thursday 1 PM.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44308 or Akron Children's Medical Center, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308.
