CUYAHOGA FALLS - Leslie A. Edwards-Holbert (Giorgio), passionate in her service for Jesus Christ, passed away September 16, 2022, after a courageous six-month battle with ALS. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
Leslie graduated from North High School in 1972, earned her associate degree from the University of Akron, was a longtime and retired Summa employee, had years of service with the Albrecht Grocery Company (Acme), and a longtime member and faithful pillar of the United Presbyterian Church, Cuyahoga Falls.
Leslie loved to bake, especially cookies, and it gave her joy to share them with friends and family. Leslie is also lovingly remembered as a second mom to many of her daughter, Kristin’s, friends.
Always the first to offer a helping hand, she was also the last to leave church, a party or family gatherings. She loved traveling with her husband, Mike, to the beach and other adventures, including the Amish community, Mayberry, and especially their times together at their beautiful Lake Mohawk house.
Leslie loved spending time with her daughter, especially when they were shopping. She was beautiful inside and out, her smile and kind heart touched everyone she met, and she always took the time to smell the flowers.
Preceded in death by her husband, Wade Holbert; son, Michael Holbert; mother, Yvonne Edwards, and father-in-law, Edward Holbert, she is survived by husband, Michael Giorgio; daughter, Kristin Holbert Beynon (David); father, Roger (Ann) Edwards; sisters, Laura (Howard) James, Gail (Ken) Herold, and Julie (Dean) Roberts; the light of her life, grandson, Jonah Beynon (4); Michael Giorgio’s children, Andrea Giorgio and Michael Giorgio; mother-in-law, Alice (Carl, deceased) Giorgio; brother-in-law, Matt Giorgio; sister-in-law, Carla (Bob) Slone; Wade’s mother, Beatrice Holbert, and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
