Lois Ann Sigmund (Sprenger)

STOW - Lois Ann Sigmund (Sprenger), 92, passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 9, 2025.

Born in Cleveland, she was a long-term resident of Stow/Munroe Falls since 1960. Lois was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Cleveland and after graduation in 1950, was employed as a shipping and receiving office clerk for GE Refrigerators in downtown Cleveland. She later was employed as a secretary at Gabriel in Cleveland.

Lois was kindhearted and always prioritized her family’s needs before her own. She enjoyed browsing on the computer, crafts, cross stitch, sewing, reading, and working Sudoku puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois also enjoyed volunteering for many years at the Holy Family School Library.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph Sigmund; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Sprenger; and her brothers, Ralph and William. She is survived by daughters, Terri (Greg) Brumbaugh and Debbie (Joe) McGovern; sons, Michael (Joni) and John (Sari) Sigmund; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Coletta, and her brothers, Joseph and Donald.

The family would like to extend their heart-felt appreciation and gratitude to the support staff at Mulberry Gardens Assisted Living in Munroe Falls, and to home health care aide Vincentia Stewart.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224. Calling hours will be held at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, from 8:30 to 10 AM, prior to Mass on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Parish, or the charity or your choice.
