AKRON - Loviah “Bea” Lappin, 91, died June 18, 2022.
Born in Akron, Ohio on June 22, 1930, to parents, Thomas S. and Mary E. (Ireton) Hugill, she was a lifelong resident of Stow. Bea was very hard working and had been employed with K-Mart as a manager before her retirement. Her hardest job was raising her six children. Between watching her boys play baseball and football, and taking her girls to dance and baton lessons, there was never a dull moment. Bea was very skilled at repairing her own cars. She loved to dance, bowl, and travel with her sister-in-law and niece to the ocean. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Bea was a talented gardener and had received many awards from the City of Akron for her beautiful yard and flowers.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce Lappin; son, Terry Pugh; brother, Thomas Hugill, Sr., she is survived by her sister, Pam McMurdo; daughters, Dawn McMurdo and Connie Brill; sons, Gary (Sally), Tim (Andrea), and Kevin (Debbie) Pugh; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
