AKRON - Margie A. Joiner, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was escorted by the angels to her eternal home on April 2nd, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Akron, Ohio, she lived most of her life as a resident of Stow. Margie was one of nineteen children, and her greatest love was for her family. She strived to live her life as an example of Jesus, spreading her faith to her children, family, and friends through her works of charity for those less fortunate, and devotion to her church. Margie enjoyed reading and won nearly every Scrabble game that she ever played.
She is preceded in death by the greatest love she has ever known, her best friend and husband of 51 years, David W. Joiner; great-granddaughter, Leah Brown; parents, George and Sarah Crine; many of her brothers and sisters, and in-laws. Margie is survived by her children, Debra (Jim) Horning, Rodney (Cheri) Joiner, David (Tammy) Joiner, and Jennifer (Nick) Penman; grandchildren, Justin (Generosa) Severson, Shawn Joiner, Shannon (Jimmy) Betts, Hollie (Joe) Heisser, David (Megan) Brown, and Camille Penman; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Jason, Troy, and Lincoln; sisters, Nita (Jerry) Reymann, Marlene Binns, and Gloria Boothe; sisters-in-law, Carol Joiner and Kathy (David) Landin.
Her love and laughter will live on in our hearts and she will be missed by everyone she touched.
Visitation will be held 4 PM to 7 PM Wednesday, April 6th, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Margie’s life will be held 9:30 AM, Thursday, April 7th, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224. Interment Stow Cemetery.
