Marie T. Swab, 89, died August 24, 2011. Born in Cleveland, she was a charter member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Solon, the Warrensville Heights Seniors, Richfield Seniors, Cuyahoga County Democratic Party and was very active in the Amvets Aux. Post 80. She was a past Ohio State President.
She was preceded in death by husband Galen Edward in 1970, parents Daniel and Tessie Malycke, and brother Michael R. Malycke. She is survived by her children Galen D. (Donna) Swab, Kathleen (Terry, Sr.) Smyers and Michael (Susan) Swab, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and brother Steven (Lois) Malycke.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday from 3 to 7 PM, where Rev. James Lewis will conduct service Saturday 11 AM. Interment Brooklyn Heights Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Advent Lutheran Church, 5525 Harper Road, Solon, OH 44139 or Twin Falls United Methodist Church, 60 N. River Road, Munroe Falls, OH 44262.
