Mark A. Paulus

AKRON - Mark A. Paulus, 66, together with his brother, Patrick, unexpectedly went on to be with our Lord and Savior on June 24, 2024.

Born in Akron, Ohio, to Howard and Julia Paulus, in the month of April 1958, he established a home in Akron, Ohio, as well as residing in Stow, Ohio, for a good part of his life.  After retiring from Stow-Munroe Falls City School District with 34 years of service, he enjoyed his hobbies of following the Westminster Dog Show, pro-wrestling, boxing, and keeping up with current events, as well as following the Stow-Munroe Falls High School football and wrestling teams.  He also had a tremendous love for animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Julia Paulus.

He is survived by his brothers, David (Teresa), and Stephen (Jaylene); his nephews, Howard, Stephen (Olivia), Alan, and James, and his great-niece, Natalie.

Mark excelled in track and cross country during high school.  Mark was extremely loyal to his family and friends and had a heart of gold.  He was a true model of a caregiver, especially when he cared for his mother with Alzheimer’s.  He would always be willing to give all of himself to help his brothers, friends, and strangers at his own expense.  He always strived to make friends wherever he went.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 1 to 3 PM, where Mr. Doug Gordon will conduct services on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.  Family and friends are welcomed at Broadman Baptist Church, 350 E. Bath Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for lunch thereafter.
