STOW - Mark Alan Stewart, 63, died peacefully in his home on July 7, 2022.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mark graduated from Mount Healthy High School and spent nearly all his years in Cincinnati except the past six years where he resided in Stow, Ohio near family.
Mark's personality was bigger than life and he did not know a stranger. He found meaning in life by being a helper and serving others in some way. His passion for life was fueled by being associated with something bigger than himself. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served for a short period of time during 1979. Afterwards, much of his working career was spent on some type of assembly line at several different companies including D&F Electronics (technician), BAE Systems Shared Services (machine assembler), and most recently, at Weaver Industries (assembler). He loved being around family, food, and celebrations. He loved his country, sports cars, hot wheels, monster trucks, Max the Cat, and Velvet the Dog. He was a huge football fan and especially rooted for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions. He was also a loved member of the Acker-Moore Memorial VFW Post 4738 in Stow, Ohio.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Cordice Daniel Stewart; his stepfather, Loyd Jasper Staley, and brother, Vinson Staley. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Staley (nee, Spencer); brothers, Joel (Rose) Stewart and Michael (Diana) Staley; sisters, Patti Schrenker (nee Staley) and Jennifer (Bill) Alvarez (nee Staley); aunt, Gerry Grubb (nee Spencer); nieces, Nicole Schuman, Danyel Staley, and Heather Staley; nephews, Mick (Julie) Staley, Brandon Staley, Elijah Staley, Michael Staley, Graham Alvarez, and Zacharias (Chelsea) Alvarez, including a great niece and great nephew, Briella Staley and DJ Downing.
