Martha Jane Boone (nee Bolender) died November 4, 2011 at Anna Maria of Aurora nursing home. She was born in Canton, September 28, 1921 to Nelson and Lydia Bolender.
Martha is survived by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 67 years, Edwin G. Boone, of Stow. Together they have 3 children: Gary (married to Jane Siebenmorgan) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jan (married to Jim Wencel) of Kingman, AZ and Mark (married to Brenda Dickson) of Hudson, OH. Martha has 8 grandchildren: Steven and Thomas Boone, Elam and Matthew Wencel, John Boone, Katherine Boone Downs, Kristin Boone Gaynor and Laura Boone DeLiberato. She has 7 great-grandchildren: Kelley and Samantha Boone, Shawn Morgan, Jacob and Henry Boone, Abigail Gaynor and Dominic DeLiberato. Martha is also survived by her brother Donald Bolender of Hudson, FL.
Martha was a graduate of Uniontown High School, attended Akron University and was a lifelong resident of Uniontown, Akron and Stow. In addition to wife, homemaker and mom, Martha served as secretary for Divinity Lutheran Church and the Yusef Khan Grotto in Akron. Martha enjoyed grandbabies, sewing, reading, politics and traveling.
There will be a private memorial. Donations in her memory can be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
