Martha Jean (Taylor) Norris

WOOSTER - Martha Jean (Taylor) Norris, born June 22, 1929, headed to her home in heaven on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Her passing at her home in Wooster, Ohio was peaceful, surrounded by her loving children. She was 93 years old.

All those who knew Martha Jean dearly loved and greatly respected her for the consistent and caring way she lived her life. She loved God and loved people and lived to serve them very well.

She was a lifelong member of Fishcreek Nazarene Church, in Stow, Ohio. She attended, served, and supported faithfully for 77 years. Martha also served God by caring for precious people at Hillhaven Nursing Home in Cuyahoga Falls as a nurse's aide for 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Ross Norris, Jr., to whom she was joyfully married for 60 years. Martha was heaven-ready because she had a personal and loving relationship with Jesus, her Savior and Lord.

Martha Jean is survived by her son, Herbert Ross (Bev) Norris, Ill, of Seamen, Ohio, and daughters, Karen (Ray) Allbright of Kent, Ohio and Dixie (Nathan) Ward of Wooster, Ohio. Martha had twelve grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren who were so loving, appreciative, and attentive.

There will be a memorial to celebrate Martha Jean's life on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 1:30 PM, at Fishcreek Nazarene Church, 4669 Fishcreek Road, Stow, Ohio, 44224. Pastor Nathan Ward will be officiating, and family members will be participating.

In lieu of flowers, the children request that any donations be made to Fishcreek Nazarene Church in Martha's memory.
