Martha Koch "Marty" Winget

STOW - Martha "Marty" Koch Winget, 85, passed away February 5, 2022.

Born in Akron, OH, to Paul and Marcella Koch (nee Hagelbarger), Martha was one of God's bright flowers and always had a smile and love for everyone. She was a love. Her family and all those that knew her were truly blessed.

Martha was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls for many years. She had a deep and positive faith. Martha was very talented musically and sang in the church choir.

She retired as an elementary school teacher with the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District. Martha was very thoughtful and active. She sewed and knitted prayer shawls for the church. Martha also was a member of PEO and the Silver Crest Women's Club among other activities.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Keith Winget, whom she met at Ohio Wesleyan University; sons, Doug (Lisa) Winget and Scott (Teri) Winget; grandchildren, Stephanie (Alex) Teuscher, Kevin Winget, Madeline (Michael) Sawka, and Mitchell Winget.

Pastor Mike Ward will officiate a memorial service at 12 noon, Saturday February 12th, at the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Friends may call 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday February 11th at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Private burial will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.
