Mary Ann (Lichi) Fullerton

July 13, 1931 — January 3, 2025

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Mary Ann (Lichi) Fullerton, 93, a life-long resident of Cuyahoga Falls, passed into eternal life on January 3, 2025, with her family at her bedside. She has realized the “hope of her salvation” as her faith in the Lord Jesus has become sight. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “absent from the body, present with the Lord.”

Mary Ann was born in the heart of the Great Depression to hard-working immigrant parents, the seventh of eight children. Poverty and hard work were daily companions, but a bountiful garden, a goat, and chickens helped the family weather food scarcities and WW II rationing. Mary Ann learned at a young age to find blessings in hardship and generosity in want. Selflessness and kindness to others were evident throughout her life.

Mary Ann was married to James E. “Ed” Fullerton in 1953 and served him as he served our country during the Korean War. Married for 62 years, they raised three sons in a welcoming home, where she provided tremendous home-cooked meals, a listening ear and guiding wisdom. She baked cakes for neighbors, pies for best friends, lasagna for shut-ins and casseroles for mourners. She eagerly welcomed grandkids and great grandkids with the question “What can I fix you to eat?” She loved tirelessly, joyfully, and sacrificially. She did what Jesus would do.

Now the Lord has called her home, and generations of her loved ones are left to grieve, remember, and celebrate her wisdom and kindness. As a believer in Jesus, she lived out his three-part calling: to believe, to serve, and to come home to Him in Heaven.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Josephine Lichi; husband, Ed Fullerton, and siblings, Josephine Scichilone, Angeline Bianco, Jacob Lichi, Anthony Lichi, Jr., Samuel Lichi, and John Lichi.

She is survived by three sons, John (Mindy) of Kent, Jim (Teresa) of Cuyahoga Falls, and Jeff (Leanna) of Cuyahoga Falls; seven grandchildren, Jessica Staup, JD Fullerton, Jillian Fullerton, Anginette Piland, Samuel Fullerton, Joel Fullerton, and Breann Rhoades; eight great-grandchildren, and one brother, Louis Lichi.

She also leaves many extended family and friends. Special thanks to her dear friends and caregivers, Evelyn, Christine, and Bobby, and to the staff at Southern Care Hospice.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224, for visitation on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 4 - 7 PM, where Dr. Don Lichi and Rev. Jacob Piland will conduct the service on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11 AM, with calling hours from 10 AM until service time. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
