Mary (Joanne) Worcester (Nee Roberts)

STOW - Mary (Joanne) Worcester (née Roberts), age 95, passed away November 19, 2024.

Joanne was born in East Akron and after attending Annunciation grade school, her family moved to Broad Boulevard in Cuyahoga Falls. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and attended Kent State University. She worked 29 years for the B.F. Goodrich Company, (UniroyalTire/Michelin), serving in various areas. She was a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church and active in the senior ministry and funeral choir, the North Hill AARP, Stow Garden Club, and CFHS 47's lunch bunch.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Josephine (Loge) and Ernest Roberts; infant daughter, Mary, and her husband, Byron "Bunny" Worcester. She is survived by her children, Dan Worcester, John (Julie) Worcester, Ned Worcester, Patsy Rospenda, and Diane (Rick) Jones; grandchildren, Anna (Will) Phillips, and Madeline and Christina Worcester; great-grandson, Nathaniel Phillips; niece, Claudia Craig, and nephew, Michael (Judy) Roberts, and many cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue, in Cuyahoga Falls, at 11 AM, on Friday, November 29, 2024. A Rosary service will be held in the church from 10 to 10:30 AM, for all those wishing to pray with the family.

Interment will take place at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Family School Endowment Fund .
