AKRON - Maynard Allan Rose graduated from his earthly life into the arms of his Savior on June 29, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1941, to Fred and Irene Rose, and grew up in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee. Having been born and raised in a primitive house in the mountains that is now part of a museum, he often amazed and entertained family and friends with engaging storytelling of his boyhood.
Allan spent many years of his adult life in Ohio, attended University of Akron for a time, and was on the Dean’s list. He worked in various capacities throughout his life. Allan excelled in sales and was always “top of the board." He also enjoyed seeing the country through truck driving; learning about his ancestors, and collecting antiques that were passed down from them was a hobby for him, as well as working on Fords and Volvos.
Allan is survived by three sons, Phillip A. Rose (Heather), of Hartville, Michael J. Rose (Ashley), of Akron, and Adam C. Rose (fiancé Heidi), of Cuyahoga Falls. He also leaves behind four grandsons, Phillip Rose, Michael Rose, Brandon Rose, and Adam Christopher Rose; former wife and friend, Rose Rose, and his beloved kitty, Pyewacket.
