The world may never notice if a flower doesn’t bloom,
Or even pause to wonder if the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms, or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way for all eternity.

The little one we longed for was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted is a light that still shines on.
And though our arms are empty, our hearts know what to do.
For every beating of our hearts says that we love you.

Meira Grace Aikens blessed us with her arrival on June 20, 2023, and left us with heavy hearts when she returned to our Heavenly Father, on June 25, 2023. We know with certainty that our sweet angel will continue to shine light on this world and bless others with MEIRAcles from heaven. Although her time spent here on earth was short, she was surrounded by her loving parents, grandparents, and amazing medical staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

A special thanks to the wonderful care provided by Akron Children’s Hospital (Dr. Katherine Wolfe), OBGYN Associates (Dr. MacKenzie Marley), Cincinnati Children’s Hospital (Dr. Beth Rymeski and Dr. David Cooper), and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Fetal Care Center (Katie McEwen, Certified Child Life Specialist).

A Celebration of Life led by Pastor Paul Wides, tributes from parents, Brian and Anne, with live worship music will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10 AM, at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson 44236, where friends may call Friday, from 3 to 7 PM.

Following the Celebration of Life, Meira will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market Street, Akron, OH 44333.

In lieu of flowers, Brian and Anne request donations be made to the Meira Grace Memorial Fund, to establish the Giving MEIRAcles initiative which will provide help for families facing challenges throughout their pre and postpartum journey. *Checks made payable to "Meira Grace Memorial Fund", deposits via northern Ohio PNC banks or Venmo - @MeiraGraceMemorialFund.
