STREETSBORO - Michael Anthony Malyuk, 76, rose with the glory of faith and entered eternal life on October 6, 2022, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully from this life into the next, surrounded by his family at home. Mike now lives in the glorious fullness of God's love in the Heavenly Kingdom in perfect joy and peace. Those who have accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ need only say goodbye for now, not goodbye forever, for they will one day join Mike in Heaven for all eternity. That is the magnificent gift of faith. Mike was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania on August 2, 1946, to the late Michael and Helen (Skokut) Malyuk. He moved to Akron in 1964, to attend the University of Akron. Following his graduation in 1968, Mike entered the United States Air Force as a Commissioned Lieutenant, having been a graduate of the U.S. Air Force ROTC at the University of Akron. Mike was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1972, after which he returned to the University of Akron to attend Law School. Mike graduated with his Juris Doctor Law Degree in 1975, enjoyed a 47-year career as an attorney, and was still practicing law until recently, having not yet retired. Mike was generous with his time and attention, having served on the boards of Shelter Care, Inc., Singers Companye, Western Reserve YMCA, and Eagle Forum. Mike also enjoyed having been a member of the Akron Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Legion, and the Akron Breakfast Optimist Club. Even more than his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Mike loved family life and always kept a full calendar of activities with his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and other loved ones. Mike is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Amy (Ryan) Sauriol, Lisa (Eric) McDaniel, and Heather (Scott) Barbone; brother, Robert (Ruth) Malyuk; grandchildren, Simone and Carmen Sauriol, Nora, Dylan, Eli, Mary, Colleen, and Stella McDaniel, and soon-to-be born Eva Barbone, and many beloved extended family members, friends, clients, and colleagues.
