Michael Paul Segin

STOW - Michael Paul Segin, 68, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, after a long struggle with Diabetes and Parkinson's Disease.

Born in Akron on January 19, 1954, Michael was a 1972 graduate of Stow High School. Most recently, he was a resident of Green, Ohio. Michael spent much of his career in sales. Before retiring, he worked for the Akron Beacon Journal. Michael enjoyed watching classic movies and was an avid fan of all the Cleveland sports teams and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed just relaxing by any body of water.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra Ann Segin; parents, Lewis and Melda "Doney" (Dotson) Segin, and special aunts, Jean and Betty.

He is survived by son, John-Michael (Tonya) Segin; custodial grandsons, Noah and Justin Sarnescky; grandchildren, John, William, and Patriot Segin; siblings, Billie (John) O'Verko, Stan Boyce, Joyce (Bruce) Combs, and Traci (Jeff) Swartz; special cousins, Donna (Bill) Garrett, John (Mary) Onusic; New Mexico cousins, Lori, Chuck and Cathy Frink, Donnie (Cindy) Harris, Cheryl Schmidbauer, and many nephews, nieces, and other family members; lifetime friends, Joe Tomayko, Dave Baumgardner, Gary Brown, Dennis "Pete" McClintick, Rich Cocozzo, Greg Gula, Bob Martin, Bill Wiggins, and Dave Marko.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Susan Tucker and staff, The Briarwood, and Crossroads Hospice.

Cremation has taken place. Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, prior to the 11:30 AM memorial service to be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Encounter Church, 9267 State Route #43, Streetsboro, 44241.
