Nancy “Nan” J. Williams, 83, of Cuyahoga Falls met her Savior face to face in her new Home on May 24, 2022.
Born in Akron, OH to Henry & Juanita Andresen on August 23, 1938, Nan grew up in Stow and graduated from Stow High School in 1956. After secretarial training, she was employed as an executive secretary at Goodyear, and later served as office manager at Akron Moped. Nan and Charlie were married October 24, 1959 and early in 1960 became a part of the beginnings of Stow Alliance Fellowship where they have attended and served since. Nan, along with friends, helped to clothe babies at Akron Pregnancy Services by sewing newborn layettes. This group of friends also sewed uniforms for an orphanage/school in Haiti. They raised money for the Haitian children by sewing and selling many tote bags in Berlin, OH.
Nan enjoyed walking and praying with several friends for many faithful years. Her most rewarding job was being a mother and grandmother who modeled and encouraged a close relationship with Jesus. Her grandchildren enjoyed many sleepovers, dance parties, card games, puzzles, thrifting, hiking, and assisting in her sewing room.
Nan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charlie; sisters Carole (Bill) Schetter of Highlands Ranch, CO and Linda (Bob) Cueni of Kingwood, TX; children Dale (Sue) Williams of Hudson, Dave (Lynn) Williams of Akron and Darla (John) Lewis of Hudson; grandchildren Sarah (Aaron) and Rachel, Marissa (Luke), Madison and Melise, Nathan and Zachary (Sydney); great-grandchild Emma; nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Judy Lanier of Senior Helpers and Ellen Milhoan for their sweet care and love towards Nan, as well as Crossroads Hospice and the Gardens at Cuyahoga Falls for the kind care they provided to all involved.
