Patricia Ann Martis

HUDSON - Patricia A. Martis, 71, died June 9, 2021.

Born in Cleveland and raised in Parma, she was a resident of Stow for 33 years and Hudson since 2014. Patricia graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John Cantius High School in 1966 and went on to receive her bachelor's degree in accounting from Cleveland State University, graduating in 1970. She was a Certified Public Accountant and was employed with the Defense Contract Audit Agency and later at Columbia Chemical Corporation as an accountant, retiring in 2009. Patricia was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, and listening to music. Patricia had a passion for painting and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

Preceded in death by parents, Walter A. and Bernice Reidel; sister-in-law, Marlene Taylor; she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph W. Martis, Jr.; daughters, Melissa (David) McClelland, Elizabeth (Michael) Hradesky; grandchildren, Morgan and Andrew McClelland, Benjamin, Matthew and Celia Hradesky; brother, Walter J. Reidel; sisters, Jean Demkowicz, Donna (Eric) Bokhari; sister-in-law, Dolores Bailey; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Mary Lou Kiss.

On behalf of the Martis family, a special thank you to all of the Laurel Lake Hospice and Crown Center nursing home staff for the kindness, loving care, and friendship so freely given to our wife, mother, and grandmother.

Calling hours will be held Sunday 4 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road in Stow. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow. Interment Sunset Cemetery, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted.
