Patricia (Patti) Jane Rounds

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Patricia (Patti) Jane Rounds passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023, after a long courageous battle with cancer and dementia.

Patti was born September 12, 1943, and was a proud lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. She spent her early career working for her parents' company, A. Crano Excavating, and then for her husband's moving company, Fullerton Transportation. She spent her later years doing what she loved most ~ babysitting her grandchildren, watching Cleveland Cavaliers basketball games, and working at Macy's.

Patti loved to spend time with her large Italian family, take trips with her husband and friends, and throw parties. She was the life of any gathering. She always believed in and advocated for fun, ending most of her conversations with "have some fun today." She looked for the positive, and gleaned on the good times, even during her five battles with cancer and the sudden loss of her high school sweetheart and husband of 48 years, Roger, in 2008.

Patti is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Scott Rounds, Sr.; her parents, Anthony and Margaret Crano; her parents-in-law, Edward and Hilda Authenreith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Ray) Riter, Maura "Mary" (Carl) Campbell, Delores "Jean" (Joe) Jones, and brother-in-law, Bruce (Priscilla) Rounds.

She is survived by her children, Kim Rounds and Scott (Wendy) Rounds; grandchildren, Tricia (Clint) Upton, Hannah Rounds, Josh (Hannah) Rounds, Jacob Rounds, and Jonah (Kiana) Rounds; great-grandchildren Griffin, Remi, and Ellie; sister-in-law, Terry (Dave) Bickel, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Patti has long awaited to join Roger in Heaven since his passing 15 years ago, and her family is at peace knowing they are finally together again.

The family wants to thank those who made Patti's life special and fun during her 79 years. Her friends and family were her world, and they inspired her to live. The family also wants to thank those who showed Patti kindness and compassion in the last several years of her life as her illnesses worsened ~ Pat (Tom) Shaw, Rita Upton, and the staff at Mulberry Assisted Living, Arbors at Stow, Summa Hospice, and caregivers from The Gardens of Western Reserve and Home Instead. A special thank you to caregiver/friend, Honey Douglas, who encouraged, advocated for, and engaged with Patti every day that they spent together. Thank you, Honey, for making her last few years fun!

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

We invite family and friends to celebrate Patti's life at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 10 AM, with the service immediately following at 11 AM.
