Paul Robert Edwards

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Paul Robert Edwards, 63, died February 9, 2023.

Born in Akron in 1959, he was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. Paul had been employed with Patio Enclosures in Macedonia, OH as a manufacturing and processing technician, retiring in April of 2022.

He enjoyed playing Frisbee Golf, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football, and spending time with his family and friends. Paul was the type of man that led by example and never had to tell his boys how to be good men, instead he showed them every day. He did this by treating his wife like a queen, constantly referring to her as “his every wish come true”, and his family as priority, often putting their needs before his own. Paul was very involved with both his boys as he guided them through Cub Scouts for over ten years. It was obvious to everyone that one of his crowning achievements in life was becoming a Papa and he wore it on him often, mostly in his vast collection of “Papa” tee shirts.

Paul was extremely proud of his family and dedicated his time to being around them, whether it was a project that needed an extra hand, a social event, or just an adventure to the park, he wanted to be there. Paul was a kind, authentic, honest, and happy man that was guided through life by his faith with a matchless laugh that was loud and used often.

Preceded in death by his father, Vance Edwards, and his brothers, Chris and Hank Edwards, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ginny Edwards; sons, Paul (Jena) and Jason Edwards; grandchildren, Saylor and Lincoln Edwards; mother, Doris (Zimmerman) Edwards; sisters, Jan (Sam) Triola and Pat (Jim) Canterbury, and brothers, Jack (Marilyn) and Joe (Eva) Edwards. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends that he also loved dearly.

Pastor Jim Case will conduct service 11 AM Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 5 PM to 7 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the funeral home.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Red Cross .
