Obituary of Philip L. Grady, Sr.




STOW - Philip L. Grady, Sr., of Stow, passed away on November 27, 2021.

Born in Youngstown on January 22, 1961, he was raised in Solon. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting from Kent State University. Phil had 30 plus years of tax consulting experience and was last employed at MASTER BUILDERS SOLUTIONS. In 1997, with his extensive knowledge in regards to taxes, he started his own accounting firm, Grady and Walsh, LTD., CPA's, with his best friend, Jim. He valued each of his clients and many became like family. An avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, he loved his football. Phil enjoyed playing poker and cards with family and friends. He loved the holidays and decorating for Christmas to the point that his neighbors called him Clark Griswold. Phil was a food enthusiast and enjoyed hosting family cookouts. Above everything else, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Preceded in death by father, Arthur J. Grady, Jr., he is survived by his loving wife, Andrea; mother, Phyllis Grady; children, Olivia (Dave) Clark, Philip L. Grady, Jr.; sister, Chris (Ron) Stewart; brother, Art (Marcia) Grady, many beloved nieces and nephews, and his cherished grand baby on the way. The family would like to thank his many friends, colleagues, and clients for their kind words and condolences.

Due to current health concerns there will be no calling hours. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
