MILWAUKEE, WI - Polly Marie DeLooze (nee Slusser), 86, passed away peacefully January 5, 2024.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ellwood and Dorothy (Dot) Slusser; uncle, John Hower; brother, Robert Slusser, and two husbands, Robert Davies, Sr., and Robert P. DeLooze. She is survived by her sister, Sara Ord-Bissler; her children, Robert (Crystal) Davies, Deborah (Mel) Granberg, Karen (Jeff) Placko, and Gerald (Karen) Davies; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Polly was born September 20, 1937, in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Hower Vocational High School. She raised her children then obtained her LPN license. She had been employed with Akron Children’s Hospital as an LPN caring for the cystic fibrosis children for 23 years. She was a founding member of the First Baptist Church of Akron. Polly enjoyed crafting, helping others, and camping with the family. She was a member of the Girl Scouts for 50 years, Order of Eastern Star for 65 years, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Rev. Dr. Byron Arledge will conduct service, 11 AM, Friday, January 19, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224. Friends may call 5 - 7 PM, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service beginning at 6:30 PM. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron.
