CUYAHOGA FALLS - Rebecca (Becky) Ann (Miller) Basile, 71, passed away due to health complications on August 15, 2023.
She was born on October 5, 1951. She was the beloved wife for 13 years of Robin Basile; dear sister-in-law of Bonnie Miller; caring sister of Thomas (Louise) Miller; loving aunt of Jeffrey (Maria), Christopher, Sean, Stephanie, Michael, Anthony, and Amanda Miller; and cherished great-aunt of Ashley, Zachary, Nicholas, Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Mikey Miller; fond stepmother of Kay Basile; grandmother of Trish Basile, and caring friend to many. She was predeceased by her loving mom, Evelyn Miller, dad, Emmitt Miller, brother, David Miller, and nephew Stephen Miller.
Becky spent her childhood in Akron, Ohio, where she graduated from North High School in 1969. She graduated from the Gerber Akron Beauty School. Upon graduation, Becky enjoyed working as a beautician and eventually opening her own beauty shop, Silver Shears, in Cuyahoga Falls. Becky thoroughly enjoyed the cosmetology profession, having the gift of gab, and as a result, formed life-long friendships with many of her patrons. Becky’s dedication to her successful career at Silver Shears, and joy of spending time with family, kept her extremely busy. As a result of her busy schedule, she didn’t meet her husband, Robin, until later in life. Becky married Robin Basile, on September 6, 2009, and embraced married life and welcomed having a daughter, Kay, and granddaughter, Trish.
Becky enjoyed many activities such as gardening, walking and biking on the many trails and parks in Ohio, and taking in all the area had to offer. Spending time at Bonnie’s lake house on Berlin Lake during recent summers gave her much happiness. The annual Miller Myrtle Beach vacation was also a favorite of Becky’s where she spent much time with family walking on the beach, collecting shells, playing corn hole and bocce ball, and trying local restaurants. Her additional favorite travel destinations included: New York City, Aruba, Sanibel Island, and Las Vegas.
While Becky loved to travel, she invested a great majority of her time in her hometown with relatives. Her endless amount of energy and fun demeanor never left a dull moment for anyone. Becky loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays and was always ready to join in the fun at a moment’s notice. Becky’s fun-loving personality and infectious laugh will be missed by many.
A private Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held by family.
