STOW - Rhonda Louise Graham (Williams), passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 16, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on February 5, 1942, the eldest of three children, in Maryville, Tennessee, at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
Rhonda graduated from North High School in Akron, class of 1960, then went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in Reading, both from the University of Akron. Rhonda was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years, and spent her days teaching children to read while also writing grants and creating reading programs and curriculum for area Christian Schools.
Rhonda was involved in Toastmasters, was a devoted member of Stow Alliance Fellowship, and volunteered at Project Learn of Summit County helping to increase literacy for adults. In 1992, Rhonda published a book and in 2009, she was awarded Volunteer of the Year for Summit County. However, aside from her many achievements, Rhonda’s greatest accomplishment, as a single working mom, was raising her son Michael.
She is survived by her loving son, Michael (Amy) Graham; sister, Sandy Charnovic, and brother, Tom (Sherrie) Williams; three grandchildren, Jacob, Austin, and Addison Graham, and nephew, Heath (Julie) Charnovic.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, John Tennessee and Maude Williams; her husband, Gerald Graham, and brother-in-law, Frank Charnovic, and nephew, Todd Williams.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, located at 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224, with service immediately following at 1:30 PM. Burial Thursday morning, at 10:30 AM, at Silver Springs Cemetery in Stow, Ohio.
