AKRON - Richard J. Arconti passed away on January 24, 2023, one day before his 81st birthday.
Richard was born January 25, 1942, to Thomas and Ruth Arconti. He is survived by his dedicated, loving wife of 61 years, Lois Arconti (Boden); children, Sherry Arconti of Louisville, KY, and Mark Arconti (Melanie) of Stow, OH; grandson, Austin Daulbaugh; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Elijah Daulbaugh; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends that he considered as family. Richard was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother, Douglas Arconti.
Richard graduated from North High School in 1960, then from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While working at Goodyear in Research, he was granted several patents and was a major contributor to many trade secrets. During his time at Goodyear, he was also a member of the IATSE Local 48 Stagehand Union, where he worked on many shows including the first and last show at the Richfield Coliseum, and the first show at Blossom Music Center. In 1991, Richard was a co-founder, partner, and president of North Coast Theatrical.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224. Pastor John Rasicci will conduct service Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 11 AM, at Redmon Funeral Home.
