Dick Himmelreich

TALLMADGE - Richard "Dick" Carl Himmelreich, 77, passed away July 27, 2023.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he graduated from Dormont High School in 1964, and moved to Akron, Ohio, to attend The University of Akron. After graduating in 1969, he became a lifelong resident of the Akron area, living in Tallmadge since 1997. Dick had been the co-owner of Stanrich Machine in Tallmadge, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hiking, taking care of his cats, and helping people work on home projects.

Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Emma Himmelreich, he is survived by his daughters, Kristie (Nate) Basile and Joann (Shane) Hamrick; son, Richard (Carla) Himmelreich; grandchildren, Alek, Brooke, Jade, Logan, and Ricky, and brother, Fred (Pat) Himmelreich.

The family appreciates your kindness and support. Visitation services are to be held at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 2 - 4 PM. Private interment will occur at a later date.
