STOW - Robert “Bob” C. Duda, Sr., 79, died May 9, 2024.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a resident of Stow since 1972. Bob was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, and his military decorations include: Purple Heart, Combat, Vietnam Service and Good Conduct Medals. Bob was the owner of Duda Construction, a job that was a passion he enjoyed until he could no longer continue. Bob was a member of the FOPA Lodge #66, VFW Post #4738, the American Legion Charles Faust Post #281 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #2207. He enjoyed reading, going for walks and watching any sports game. He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed sharing a beverage with his friends and family at his local establishment. He especially enjoyed his yearly hunting trip with his sons.
Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Alice Duda, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Duda; sons, Bobby and Josh (Danielle) Duda; granddaughters, Grace and Hallie Duda; brother, Albert E. Duda, and sister, Kathy Wyman.
Friends may call Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where Pastor Dan Page will conduct service Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11 AM. Interment Monday, May 20, 2024, at 12:15 PM, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
