Robert P. Krantz

MUNROE FALLS - Robert P. Krantz, 89, died December 22, 2021.

Robert was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, where he attended Redeemer Lutheran Church. Robert attended Cuyahoga Falls High School where he received the honor of a place in the school's football Hall of Fame. Following high school, he proudly served in the U.S. ARMY alongside the occupational forces, in Austria, during the Korean War. In 1976, Robert and his family became residents of Munroe Falls. Robert continued his career serving the City of Cuyahoga Falls as a paramedic and firefighter, retiring in 1987. Robert was instrumental in building the Cuyahoga Falls Paramedic Program. Following his career, he happily continued his hobby of making golf clubs, giving his friends golfing lessons, and working for Firestone Country Club. He was also a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Moose Lodge #918.

Preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Daye Krantz; brother, Thomas Krantz; great-grandchild, Jameson Brady, he is survived by his wife, Virginia Krantz (married 64 years); daughters, Robin Krantz, Deanna Quinn, Patty Bailey; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Austin) Brady, Shaun (Kirsten) Quinn, Robert Quinn, Mitchell Quinn, Blair Quinn; great-grandchildren, Harley, Garen, and Seth.

Memorial service will be held 6 PM Monday at Redmon Funeral Home 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call Monday 4 PM to service time.
