Robert Charles Morris

STOW - Robert Charles Morris, 82, died July 29, 2023.

Born in Clay County, WV, to the late Pete B. Morris and Georgia E. Lambey Morris, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1961 to 1967.

In his early years, Robert had been employed at Lance Gas Station in Akron, and then for many years with Perrin Asphalt as a truck driver. Robert loved both his family home and his work family at Perrin Asphalt.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gloria Jean; daughter, Kelly Jean Morris-Caceres (Vincente); granddaughters, Marina Jean Caceres and Georgia Caceres, of Staten Island, NY; siblings, Ann (Mike) Monahan, Judy Morris, Sam Morris, Frank Morris, Randy (Sue) Morris, Jeff (Janet) Morris, and Lula Mae (Jesse) Smith.

Services and entombment to be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, with military honors, will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or in Robert’s name to a charity of your choice.
