SILVER LAKE- Robert W. Underwood, 70, passed away May 1, 2012.
Born in Northampton Twp., he was a Silver Lake resident for over 40 years and had retired from the State of Ohio. Mr. Underwood was a member of PERS, AARP and Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a volunteer with the Red Cross for many years. Anyone who knew Bob would agree he was the true embodiment of a positive attitude and optimistic spirit.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Esther L. Baldauf Underwood, and by daughter Catherine L. Underwood Peterson (Paul).
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Pennie Marchetti, and to Traditions at Bath Road and Hospice of Akron General for their wonderful care of Bob.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Friends may call at Redmon Funeral Home Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Rd., Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131.
