Rochelle (Shelly) Criss

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Rochelle (Shelly) Criss, 65, passed away peacefully to her spot in heaven at 11:06 AM on October 24, 2024.

Shelly was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on June 14, 1959, she grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, and attended the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. After graduation, she married Joseph Criss, to whom she had been married for 47 years. He was the absolute love of her life. Shelly then worked at Bolich Middle School as a secretary for 25 years, brightening people’s days as she greeted them.

Some of Shelly's favorite activities included going to the beach in the summer, doing puzzle books, lying in the sun, going on car rides, and most all, she enjoyed being with family.

Shelly is survived by her much-loved husband, Joseph Criss; her two children, Anthony Criss and Brittany Criss; her two grandchildren, Carter Criss and Brooklyn Payne, and her siblings, David Brown (Kathy), Dale Brown (Marilyn), Loretta Rhodes, Ronald Brown, Duvon Brown (Debbie), and Julie Brown (Marv).

She is joined in heaven by her parents, Florence Brown and Ralph Brown, and her siblings, Karen Brown (Denny), and Richard Brown (Beth).

Shelly will be extremely missed by everyone who knew her. From family, to friends, and to people from work, Shelly tremendously impacted everyone's life.  As her special sister Julie states, "Shelly was a true saint to everyone she encountered."  As much as we miss her, we know that she is in heaven watching over us every day and protects us through thick and thin as a sibling, a wife, a mother, grandmother, and a truly great friend.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 3 to 5 PM.

Dr. Michael Thomas will conduct funeral services Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, where friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of services.

Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
