Roger Jay Owens

KENT - Roger Jay Owens, 75, went to his heavenly home on April 5, 2023.

Born in Stillwater, OK, he was a resident of Kent since 2007, and a U.S. Navy veteran. Roger had been employed with Raytheon Technology, formally UTC, as a software engineer, retiring in 2006. He was a member and elder of Stow Presbyterian Church where he loved serving God. He enjoyed being part of the technical team during services and special events.

Roger enjoyed working on Apple computers, gardening, driving his Miata, and was a member of the Mac2 Club, where he often presented tips and tricks to help others.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Helen Owens, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marcia Owens; daughter, Melissa (Greg) Pockl; beloved grandchildren, TJ and Jason Pockl, and sister, Rosetta Adkins.

Pastor Vince Latz will conduct a Memorial Service at 4 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Stow Presbyterian Church, 4150 Fishcreek Road, Stow, OH 44224.
